Enchantment Lakes

I recently came across an article on Enchantment Lakes. I had never heard of these lakes before, but was intrigued when I found out they were from my home state of Washington, and only two and half hours from my hometown. "The area features stunning granite spires, pristine lakes strung together by creeks, never-ending larch trees and curious mountain goats." The area is available to day hikers, but only a limited number of people can receive overnight passes to experience the area. The hike is fairly strenuous though, which limits what gear you can take with you for photography purposes. Here is a picture of the scenery there:

Wolves of Yellowstone

Here are few pictures of wolves I took in Yellowstone on October 31 and November 1. The wolves were in a shallow ditch most of the time, so it was hard to get photos of the wolves where the grass was not blocking the view, But overall, I'm happy I got a few pictures that turned out. There are 3 different wolves in the pictures below.

Nick Brandt

While looking up different photographers, I came across photos from Nick Brandt. Nick Brandt started his own photography project to make a series of books "memorialize the vanishing natural grandeur of East Africa." He focuses solely on photographing Africa, and uses black and white film without telephoto or zoom lenses. He doesn't believe in using telephoto lenses because he feels that being close to the animal helps reveal their personality. He mostly tries to capture animals in their natural state of being. He wants to capture them in their natural state before it is destroyed. Below are a few examples of his photos.
